Location

Take a break from your Highway 1 road trip with a stopover in Nipomo. This scenic and uncrowded spot halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles is a great place to call home while you explore the area. Head in any direction and you will find plenty of things to do. Without leaving Nipomo you can find the Luffa Farm, which is an unexpected gem. Here you will learn about loofahs, which aren’t sponges as many people think. Instead, they grow on vines like squash and have to be carefully processed to stay soft. The town is also home to the historic Dana Adobe. Built in the early 1800s by Captain William Dana, the adobe offers tours that are friendly for all ages.
