Location

Los Osos is a quaint town neighboring Morro Bay and located just north of San Luis Obispo. Situated along Highway 1, this is a great and somewhat undiscovered spot to call home for a few nights during your road trip. Visitors can’t help but notice the laid back vibes here. But that doesn’t mean you won’t find anything to do. When you are ready to explore, you will find a variety of options. Active travelers will want to check out the gorgeous Montana de Oro, which has plenty of hiking trails, some great surf spots, a historic ranch house, and the history of a smuggler’s cove. You can also kayak Morro Bay and get some up close views of the adorable sea otters. For a more relaxed option, head over to the Sweet Springs Preserve and do some bird watching or nature photography.

Rooms

The Back Bay Inn has 16 rooms and suites for guests to choose from. Offering both downstairs and upstairs rooms, you can also choose from rooms with large patios, private entrances, back views and more. Suites include separate seating areas with sofa beds and television. The pet friendly Cabana is a standalone garden room with its own deck, views of the bay, and patio with chairs. The Bungalow is also a dog friendly, standalone option. It has garden and bay views, a king bed, full sofa bed, private bathroom, and a full kitchen with seating for four guests.

Amenities

The rooms located in the main building all offer bay views. Ground floor rooms have a private patio and bayfront entrance, while second floor rooms include a balcony or fireplace. There are six dog friendly rooms and one ADA accessible room. All guests will enjoy daily breakfast, complimentary wine reception in the afternoons, free WiFi, cable TV, coffee maker, refrigerator and hair dryer.
