Piedra Creek Winery

The saying, “You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to…” fits well in many situations. However, at Piedra Creek Winery, they have their own in house Rocket Scientists running the show. Winemaker Romeo Zuech worked with NASA and helped build the ships that eventually put Neil Armstrong on the Moon. He brings this thirst for achievement and use of technology to his winemaking as well and makes sure that there are minimal mistakes, all the way from choosing a grape grower that he knows personally to finishing the product with state of the art machinery. Piedra Creek started off as the smallest bonded winery in the Edna Valley in 1984, producing only 400 cases of Chardonnay. Open by appointment
