The Libertine Brewing location in Avila Beach is a popular destination with beer lovers — particularly those with a taste for sours. It is one of several Libertine locations across the Central Coast, the first being the Libertine Pub in Morro Bay. The bar launched on the Embarcadero in 2012, offering brews that weren’t easily found in the area. These included double IPAs, barrel-aged stouts, and Belgian sours, which ferment with yeasts in the natural environment to create tart, earthy flavors.
