You can make a Charming Baywood Cottage yours during your vacation to the Morro Bay area of California. This cozy vacation rental is located in Los Osos-Baywood, just across the bay from Morro Bay and along Highway 1. Visitors who spend time here come to love this lesser known gem along the coast.
The Los Osos-Baywood Park town is also known as the Valley of the Bears. This moniker was given by the writer along with Gaspar de Portola’s expedition here in the late 1700s. During the era, black bears were prominent in the region, hence the name. The more accurate translation is actually Level of the Bears (or Bear Plain) but over time the area has adopted Valley of the Bears. You are unlikely to spot any black bears during your trip, but luckily they are still present in the area. Wildlife lovers visiting here opt for a visit to Montana de Oro State Park, which is almost guaranteed to provide sightings of birds and other fauna.
The Charming Baywood Cottage is a quaint 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom vacation rental ideal for 2 guests, but can host 3 people if necessary. Sleeping arrangements include a queen size bed and sofa. The living area here is a very open space combining the kitchen, dining and sitting spaces. You will find vintage touches throughout the cottage, but the space has also been modernized for your convenience. The outdoor area is the true treasure here, with its views overlooking the bay.
Amenities at the cottage include the WiFi and television, plus a washer and dryer along the unit. This property is also pet friendly and has a backyard for your four legged family member. There is parking available, plus on street parking in front of the unit and a private entrance.
