Baywood Inn
Description
Halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles on the iconic Highway 1 sits the Baywood Inn. This bed and breakfast is on the backside of Morro Bay, making it a scenic spot to call home during your visit.
Location
Los Osos and Baywood Park are known as the Valley of the Bears. The designation came from Gaspar de Portola’s expedition to the area in the late 1700s when black bears were prominent in the region. (The original translation was actually Level of the Bears or Bear Plain.) Today, black bears are still occasionally spotted in the area, but sightings are rare. If you want to see great wildlife during your visit, a trip to Montana de Oro State Park is almost guaranteed to provide sightings.
