In 2003 volunteers created the first dog park in northern San Luis Obispo County. Today Heilmann Dog Park offers two-thirds of an acre where dogs are the star of the show. The park features double gated entries, water, picnic tables, shady oaks, patio, doggie spa and information kiosk.
The Dog Park is part of the larger Heilmann Park, an SLO County Park with many day-use amenities.
