Cambria is an eclectic and memorable destination along California’s famed Highway 1. This small town (population just over 5,000) is home to an annual Scarecrow Festival each October. The locals joke that the number of scarecrows throughout town actually doubles the population. Fall is an excellent time to visit as the weather warms up and the fog tends to burn off for sunny days. Winter is also a great time to plan to get away to the coast. January and February are filled with mild weather and the arrival of migrating animals. Birds, butterflies, whales and more are all spotted during the Season of Coastal Discovery.
