Location

This scenic cottage is nestled into the trees just on the east side of Highway 1 in Cambria. This laid back town is just a short drive south of the famed Big Sur region. Be sure to plan a stop in San Simeon for a guided tour of the renowned Hearst Castle. This magnificent house was the retreat for publisher William Randolph Hearst in the 1920s and 30s. Along the coast you will also have the opportunity to stop at the elephant seal rookery and view these magnificent and oversized marine mammals hanging out on the shore. The great wildlife viewing continues in Cambria with the tide pools along Moonstone Beach. 

Layout

The Garden Cottage Getaway is a 245-square foot studio with a full bathroom. The space is suitable for two guests and also makes a great solo getaway spot. The main room has a double bed and two large window seats, perfect for curling up with a good book. There is also a small table and two chairs for eating. Two skylights enhance the space with lots of natural light. The kitchen is small but well equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and four-burner stove. The bathroom has a shower stall and sink with a view of the garden.

Amenities

This cottage is big on charm and has plenty of amenities to keep you happy during your stay. There is both a gas fireplace and a heater in this vacation rental to keep you warm. WiFi and a Bluetooth speaker are included in the unit. Entertainment options also include board games like Scrabble, Monopoly and chess, along with coloring books and pencils. There is off-street parking for one car available.
