Sonos speakers run throughout, the family room centers on an ambient fireplace, and the outdoor spaces look out over vineyards and rolling farmland. It works equally well as a luxury base for a Central Coast wine and coast getaway.

Location
The estate sits in Edna Valley, 6.5 miles from downtown San Luis Obispo and a short drive from the coast. Edna Valley is one of California’s true coastal wine regions, where marine air off the Pacific gives the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir their character, and tasting rooms range from remodeled ranch houses to full vineyard excursions. Head west and See Canyon’s apple orchards and small family wineries lead down to Avila Beach, where a protected cove, a walkable promenade, and hot spring soaks at Sycamore Mineral Springs make an easy afternoon. The paved Bob Jones “City to the Sea” Trail connects San Luis Obispo to the ocean beneath a canopy of sycamores, good for a walk or a bike ride. From here the rest of the Highway 1 coast opens up, with Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria, and Hearst Castle all within a comfortable day trip, and Paso Robles wine country an hour north.
